In memory of Thomas
We used to have a cat. His name was Mister Thomas And he made our house a home He made our marriage family And we never left him on his own. His name was Mister Thomas And he was such a lovely boy As parents we did spoil him he gave us love, and brought us joy. With mummy in the kitchen By her side he would sit and wait For a little piece of chicken Fed by hand, or on his little plate. When daddy came home with shopping Every bag he would explore He knew he would get something special As he did every time before. His name was Mister Thomas Often he liked to hunt a mouse And mummy would have to catch it Before it ran about the house. But suddenly he got poorly And we did our very best Sadly he could not get better And it was right to let him rest. For thirteen years we loved him And he will never be replaced And it breaks our hearts to know that We will never again see his little face. Now all we have are precious memories And in our hearts Mister Thomas will stay As every pet parent understands For their love, grief is the price you pay. 🐈⬛
