By signing up to fundraising for Stream for Cats, you can help support the specialist fostering service Cats Protection Lifeline, which provides a temporary loving home for cats whose families are fleeing domestic abuse. Help make life better for cats and people, even in the toughest circumstances.

Over 2,600 cats have been fostered and over 1,500 owners supported since Lifeline started, but throughout January and February, we see the busiest times and highest demand for the Lifeline service.

Why support Lifeline?

Someone fleeing domestic abuse often has to leave everything behind, including their cat. Most refuges can’t accept them. But for many, leaving their beloved pet in danger is not an option. It’s common for perpetrators to target cats and kittens too. So they feel they have no choice but to stay and remain at risk of abuse.  

Our Lifeline service exists to make the exit plan easier for those who also need to ensure a safe place for their beloved cat too. Through our Lifeline service, we help cats and their families get away from abuse by providing a temporary loving home for those pets, until their owners are able to take them back safely. That gives them the chance to get back on their feet, knowing they’ll be together again.
